Blacktown Building Supplies is a family owned and run operation located in Arndell Park, in Sydneys west. The company was established in May 1992 to provide quality merchandise to both theTrade and Retail market. The original premises was located on Flushcombe Rd Prospect until the purpose built premises was established in 1994, in Penny Place Arndell Park.

The blueprint for the business incorporated all the lessons learned over many years in retail trade, and the store has continued to win a loyal clientele over the intervening decade.

The company operation is service orientated with deliveries accounting for a major part of the business, and structured so that even if a product is not stocked it will be procured from one of the companies many loyal suppliers often within a few hours.

At present the business has approximately 70% trade and 30% retail customers, with more than half the trade business being done via direct deliveries to the customers job sites. This means that a large portion of the company’s total turnover is dependent on an effective and timely delivery service.

Currently the company operates 6 vehicles from utes to 12 ton trucks several equipped with cranes all of which are controlled via a central two way system.

The store is located on a 16000m2 plot of which 4000m2 is undercover, with ample car parking spots and an easy drive through pick up service. Blacktown Building Supplies has been set up primarily for the trade customer with timber and building materials concentrated to better serve the trade customer. With a range of 24000 different items access to milling facilities and all the major suppliers the company prides its self on the ability to deliver the product in a timely fashion.

The high standards set by the company are also reflected in the highly trained and professional staff, and the company is very proud of the fact that many of the staff have been with the company for well over five years.

The company employs two sales representatives to look after the needs of all the loyal customers.

Due to these high standards the company has been nominated for the last eight years at the TABMA awards as Best Building Materials Centre Metropolitan and won on several occasions. We have also been nominated numerous times as a Finialist in the Blacktown Small Business Awards, last winning our category in 2008.

The company is forward thinking and constantly adjusts its stock and service in line with the industry requirements.
